To amend subparagraphs (f) and (m) of Article 5 of Act No. 209 of August 28, 2003, as amended, known as the “Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics Act”, to provide that the Inventory of Statistics of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico be submitted to the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico on a quarterly basis; and to keep up to date a reliable system of statistics related to school dropout.

To amend Article 6 of Law 209-2003, as amended, known as the PR Institute of Statistics Act so that the Institute can request, accept, receive donations and collect reasonable rights.

To add a new paragraph (l), and to redesignate the current paragraph (l), as (m), in Article 8 of Law 76‐2013, known as the “Law of the Attorney for the Elderly of Puerto Rico”, in order to add new functions and duties to the Office of the Attorney for the Elderly, in response to the dramatic increase in grandparents raising grandchildren; and for other related purposes.

To create the “Puerto Rico Tourism Satellite Account System Act” to present fundamental economic information on the impact of tourism in relation to Gross Domestic Product, gross value added, employment, taxation and the direct and indirect value that tourism brings to the economy of Puerto Rico, in order to develop policies aimed at boosting and developing the tourism sector in Puerto Rico.
