To amend subparagraphs (f) and (m) of Article 5 of Act No. 209 of August 28, 2003, as amended, known as the “Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics Act”, to provide that the Inventory of Statistics of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico be submitted to the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico on a quarterly basis; and to keep up to date a reliable system of statistics related to school dropout.

To order the Committee on Economic Development, Planning, Telecommunications, Public-Private Partnerships and Energy, of the House of Representatives of the Government of Puerto Rico, to conduct research on present and future plans related to the economic and social resources of our government, including municipalities, designed to meet the needs of our aging population. This will include, but not be limited to, health, housing, safety and other issues.

To create the “Act for the Establishment of a Multisectoral, Uniform and Coordinated Stroke Management System in Puerto Rico”; which establishes public policy for the care of this condition within our jurisdiction; designate the Department of Health of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as the leading agency in the development, implementation, oversight and enforcement of the public policy required by this Act; establish the Multidisciplinary Public Policy Committee on the management and care of cerebrovascular accidents (“Stroke”); and for other related purposes.
