Fecha: 8 de abril de 2016Para enmendar el Artículo 7 de la Ley 209-2003, según enmendada, mejor conocida como “Ley del Instituto de Estadísticas de Puerto Rico”, a los fines de establecer que al vencimiento del nombramiento de cualquier miembro de la Junta de Directores del Instituto de Estadísticas, su sucesor deberá ser nombrado dentro de un período de sesenta (60) días y que el miembro incumbente podrá continuar en el desempeño de sus funciones hasta que su sucesor haya tomado posesión de su cargo.

To order the Committee on Women's Affairs of the Senate of Puerto Rico to conduct research and analysis on the stigma, discrimination and invisibility of adult women over sixty years of age in Puerto Rico and how the intersection of ageism and sexism affects their well-being, rights, and opportunities in the emotional, social, family, legal, financial and health spheres, as well as the services available by government agencies and non-profit and private entities.

To amend articles 1.3, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 of Law 120-2014, known as the “Incentives Act for the Generation and Retention of Jobs in SMEs”, in order to expand the categories of Eligible Expansion SMEs and Eligible SMEs with Net Operating Losses to those companies that have started operations after January 1, 2014 and to temper the partial reimbursement of salaries to the new state minimum wage established by Law 47-2021; add a new article 2.7 to Law 120-2014, known as the “Incentives Act for the Generation and Retention of Jobs in SMEs”, for the purpose of requiring an Annual Performance Report on the provisions of the Act; to amend Section 12-B of Law No. 72 of June 21, 1956, known as the Puerto Rico Employment Security Act, as amended, to clarify the source of funding for partial wage reimbursement; and for other related purposes.
