To order the Social Welfare and Aging Affairs; and Life and Family Committees of the Puerto Rico Senate to conduct an investigation into child abuse in Puerto Rico, including, but not limited to: handling complaints of child abuse and the services provided to victims by the Department of the Family, the Department of Health, the Department of Education, the Puerto Rico Police and the Department of Justice; the methodology and collection of child abuse statistics in Puerto Rico used by government agencies such as: the Department of the Family, the Puerto Rico Police, the Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics; examine the processes for updating and reliability of statistics and government efforts for the prevention of child abuse.

To order the Committee on Social Welfare and Family Affairs of the Senate of Puerto Rico to carry out a comprehensive study on the development, implementation and operation of the concept of Collaborative Housing (Co-housing) in Puerto Rico.

To amend Act No. 209 of August 28, 2003, known as the “Puerto Rico Statistics Institute Act”, as amended, to transfer the Puerto Rico Statistics Institute under the jurisdiction of the Legislative Assembly.
