To order the Committee on Education and Non-Profit Organizations and Cooperatives of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives to carry out a study on the proliferation of institutions that offer degrees on an accelerated and remote basis, in order to verify that they comply with applicable laws and regulations, so as to ensure excellent education for their participants.

To order the Committee on Economic Development, Planning, Telecommunications, Public-Private Partnerships and Energy, of the House of Representatives of the Government of Puerto Rico, to conduct research on present and future plans related to the economic and social resources of our government, including municipalities, designed to meet the needs of our aging population. This will include, but not be limited to, health, housing, safety and other issues.

To amend Article 10 of Law No. 81 of March 14, 1912, as amended, known as the “Organic Law of the Department of Health”; to amend Article 6 and 13 of Law No. 209-2003, as amended, known as the “Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics Act”, in order to establish guarantees for the management and delivery of vital statistics, between the Department of Health and the Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics; create a special provision for the management and delivery of vital statistics between the Department of Health and the Puerto Rico Statistics Institute when there is a declaration of emergency, and for other related purposes.
