To order the Department of the Family, the Department of Education, the Mental Health and Counteraddiction Administration, the Department of Health and the Puerto Rico Police to establish, within a period of no more than 60 days, an emergency plan to address the crisis of child abuse and abuse in Puerto Rico, including a continuing education campaign in the media and on the social networks of the agencies; to order the Statistics Institute of Puerto Rico to enter into collaboration agreements with the Department of the Family and the Puerto Rico Police to publish an Annual Child Abuse Profile, within 180 days; to order the Puerto Rico Telecommunications Bureau to call on technology companies and telecommunications providers to take steps to ensure the safety of children in cyberspace, provide children with access to toll-free helplines, use their platforms to promote campaigns to prevent child abuse and abuse; order the Department of Housing to start educational campaigns and offer workshops on guidance on child abuse and maltreatment for all residents and participants in their programs; and for other purposes.

To order the Finance, Federal Affairs and Fiscal Oversight Board of the Senate of Puerto Rico to conduct an exhaustive investigation, of an ongoing nature, on the administration, use and expenditure of public funds allocated and administered by the public agencies and instruments of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, as well as the execution and compliance of the strategic plans of each public instrument; in order to evaluate whether the economic resources provided to the agencies and instruments to meet the needs of citizens and to be able to determine if it is necessary to take legislative or administrative measures that promote efficient functioning and ensure the adequate budget of public agencies and instruments for the benefit of citizens.
To order the Committee on Education, Art and Culture of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico to carry out a thorough investigation regarding compliance with the implementation in public schools of the protocol in cases of bullying, as established in Circular Letter No. 12‐2012‐2013; and for other purposes.
Fecha: 5 de octubre de 2009Para enmendar los Artículos 3, 5, 8 y 16 de la Ley Núm. 10 de 18 de junio de 1970, según enmendada, conocida como la “Ley de la Compañía de Turismo de Puerto Rico”, a los fines de cambiar la estructura y composición de la Junta de Directores de la Compañía de Turismo, permitirle a la Compañía de Turismo requerirle a sus hospederías endosas [sic] que suministren información estadística necesaria y reglamentar, investigar, intervenir e imponer multas en toda actividad relacionada al turismo náutico, flexibilizar la promoción de adiestramiento a nuestros ciudadanos mediante escuelas hoteleras y de turismo a nivel vocacional y/o especializado, flexibilizar los procesos de vistas públicas en los procesos de reglamentación, reenumerar sus artículos correctamente, aclarar disposiciones; y para otros fines.
