To amend Act 209? 2003, as amended, known as the “Puerto Rico Statistics Institute Act”, for the purpose of adding new Articles 2, 13, 14 and 15, amending current Articles 2, 4 and 6, and renumbering current Articles 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, as Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13; renumber Articles 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 as Articles 16, 17, 18, and 19 19, 20, 21 and 22, and to establish a public policy in the law that guarantees the proper management of statistics in the Government of Puerto Rico and promotes their dissemination, establish new definitions in the law; grant additional powers to the Institute of Statistics and establish new obligations for government agencies; and for other related purposes.

To amend Article 3 of Law 209-2003, as amended, known as the “Puerto Rico Statistics Institute Act” to provide that the Office of the Comptroller extends the term of audits of the accounts and operations of the Puerto Rico Statistics Institute to three (3) years; and for other related purposes.

To add a new Article 115 and renumber the current Articles 115 and 116 as Articles 116 and 117 respectively, of Act No. 187-2015, as amended, known as the “Interagency Validation Portal Act for the Granting of Incentives for Economic Development of Puerto Rico” (PIVCIDE).
