The infographic presents the sociodemographic and labor profile of people who are deaf or have hearing difficulty in Puerto Rico using data from the Puerto Rico Community Survey (PRCS) for the 2010–2024 period. It shows temporal trends in frequency and prevalence, as well as the distribution by age, sex, marital status, educational attainment, employment status, income, poverty, health insurance coverage, and self-care ability.

Objective:

To characterize the deaf or hearing-impaired population in Puerto Rico and analyze its main demographic, educational, economic, and labor characteristics.
