To order the Committee on Women's Affairs of the Senate of Puerto Rico to conduct research and analysis on the stigma, discrimination and invisibility of adult women over sixty years of age in Puerto Rico and how the intersection of ageism and sexism affects their well-being, rights, and opportunities in the emotional, social, family, legal, financial and health spheres, as well as the services available by government agencies and non-profit and private entities.

To amend Act No. 209 of August 28, 2003, known as the “Puerto Rico Statistics Institute Act”, as amended, to transfer the Puerto Rico Statistics Institute under the jurisdiction of the Legislative Assembly.

To amend Article 14 of Law 209-2003, as amended, known as the “Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics Act”, to provide that the civil actions contemplated by this law may be brought into force in the event of non-compliance by government bodies with obligations related to statistical activities, the preparation of the statistical product or publication of statistical reports, as required in their organic laws, regulations or special laws; incorporate a technical correction in paragraph (1) of said article; and for other purposes.

To amend Article 5 of Act No. 209 of 2003, as amended, which created the Institute of Statistics of Puerto Rico, to establish that it is the duty of the Institute of Statistics to provide technical assistance to the University of Puerto Rico in the preparation of the “Puerto Rico Human Development Report”.
