To direct the Department of Health to conduct, in collaboration with the Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics and the Graduate School of Public Health of the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico, a prevalence study to determine the statistical incidence of autism spectrum disorders in Puerto Rico.

To amend Articles 2, 3 and 5, add Articles 16 and 23 and renumber the current Articles 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 of Law 209-2003, as amended, known as the Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics Act, as Articles 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 24, respectively, in order to provide for the creation of the Office for Evaluation and Monitoring of the Implementation and Results of Public Policies of the Government of Puerto Rico, attached to the Institute of Statistics of Puerto Rico, to define its structure and functions; and for other related purposes.

To amend Article 2; add new sub-paragraphs (l), (m), (n) and (o) to paragraph (d) and to amend paragraph (e) of Article 3; and to amend Article 6 of Act No. 199? 2010, known as the “Demographic Challenge Act”, for the purpose of including the Office of the Attorney for the Elderly, the Office of Management and Budget and the Institute of Statistics of Puerto Rico among the governmental and private entities that make up the Multisectorial and Multidisciplinary Committee for government, academia and private enterprise; and for other purposes.

P. de la C. 1648: To amend Article 2.02 of Law 168-2019, known as the “Weapons Act of 2020”, as amended, to set limits on the number of ammunition that can be purchased in a calendar year and to amend the amount of ammunition purchased by a person that will activate the duty of armories to notify the Arms License Office of the Police Bureau, as well as the powers of the Police to investigate the purchasers of the ammunition.
