To order the Puerto Rico Statistics Institute to carry out a formal census, with all the necessary research and scientific guidelines to help clarify the number of deaf people in the country, as well as their peculiarities and language used to communicate.
Date: May 22, 2025 P. of C. 562: To amend Article 2.01 of Chapter 2 of Act No. 122-2017, known as the “New Government of Puerto Rico Act”, and the first paragraph of Article 3 of Act No. 209-2003, as amended, known as the “Puerto Rico Statistics Institute Act”, for the purpose of including the Puerto Rico Statistics Institute among the entities exempt from the provisions of the above-mentioned Act No. 122 and to express such exclusion in such laws, in order to preserve nature of the Institute of Statistics of Puerto Rico as an autonomous administrative and fiscally independent entity of the Executive Branch of the Government of Puerto Rico; and make technical corrections.
Fecha: 12 de enero de 2011Para enmendar los incisos (f) y (m) del Artículo 5 de la Ley Núm. 209 de 28 de agosto de 2003, según enmendada, conocida como “Ley del Instituto de Estadísticas de Puerto Rico”, a los fines de disponer que como parte del informe anual que el Instituto debe rendir a la Asamblea Legislativa y al Gobernador, con relación a sus gestiones durante el año precedente, incluirá información específica y detallada sobre el progreso de la actualización del Inventario de Estadísticas del Gobierno de Puerto Rico; y para que mantenga actualizado un sistema confiable de estadísticas relacionadas con la deserción escolar.
