To order the Health and Nutrition Commission; and the Committee on Education, Training and Individual Development of the Puerto Rico Senate to conduct an investigation regarding the administration of the revalidity exam for aspiring doctors, in order to determine if it has been administered in accordance with the provisions of Law 139? 2008, known as the “Medical Licensing and Discipline Board Act”; and to the criteria that apply in the United States for the same type of exam offered in Puerto Rico.

To order the Integrated Development Commission of the Western Region (Commission) of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico to carry out a comprehensive study on the living conditions of older people after the onslaught of hurricanes Irma and María; particularly of older people who reside in the western area of Puerto Rico and who are not under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Family.

To add a new paragraph (f) to Article 3.7 of Law No. 54 of August 15, 1989, as amended, known as the “Law for the Prevention and Intervention against Domestic Violence”, for the purpose of establishing that the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, will have the obligation to notify the victim of this manifestation of violence, of the approach of the release of the perpetrator; to delimit the mandatory time to carry out the said action; and for other related purposes.
