Description:

National hydrological data repository that provides access to historical and real-time information on the water resources of the United States and its territories, including Puerto Rico. The system integrates data from more than 1.5 million monitoring locations, using automated sensors and manual collection.

Objective:

Collect and disseminate high-quality scientific data on water to help minimize the loss of life and property due to natural disasters, and support the effective management of water resources for agricultural, industrial and municipal uses.

Main Variables
Flow of rivers and streams (streamflow), water levels in lakes and reservoirs, groundwater well levels, water quality parameters (temperature, pH, conductance, dissolved oxygen), precipitation and chemical data from discrete samples.

Reference Population:
Civil engineers, hydrologists, emergency managers, scientific communities, environmental protection agencies, navigators and citizens in flood-prone areas in Puerto Rico and the United States. UU.
