Draft Evaluation of the Economic and Social Planning Program of the Puerto Rico Planning Board

Description:

This final report describes the work carried out by the Phidelix Technologies group of consultants on the Puerto Rico Planning Board's Economic and Social Planning Program Evaluation Project, during the period from July to November 2009. These evaluation works were funded by the Government Development Bank (BGF), under the chairmanship of Mr. Carlos García. The consulting groups that participated in this project are: Phidelix Technologies, coordinator and main group; Dr. Jeff Werling (Models and Projections) from the Interindustry Forecasting University of Maryland (Inforum); Mark Planting, Social Accounts and Input/Product Matrix, a retired official of the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), through funds allocated to the group of external consultants of the project; consultants from the BEA group of the Federal Department of Commerce (Brian Moyer is the coordinator between the BEA and the Project), with funds assigned for travel and lodging. Dr. Ervin Martínez, Director of the Planning Program, Dr. Jaime Bofill Valdés and Dr. Bienvenido Vélez, both from Phidelix, visited the offices of the BGF in November 2009.
