Description:

Real-time monitoring platform that presents the status of the main bodies of water (reservoirs) that supply both hydroelectric power plants and drinking water filtration plants in Puerto Rico. The system classifies the state of each reservoir according to operational scales (Security, Observation, Adjustments, Control or Rationing).

Objective:

It will inform citizens and government agencies about the availability of water in reservoirs for energy generation and population consumption, serving as a critical indicator during periods of drought or extreme rain events.

Main Variables

Water elevation level (measured in meters above sea level - msnm), operational status of the reservoir (based on level curves), and the trend of change (upward, downward or stable).

General citizenship of Puerto Rico, industrial and agricultural sectors and emergency management agencies and natural resources.
