Description:

This report uses the environmental indicators method proposed by the UN as a tool for measuring, evaluating and analyzing environmental aspects in Puerto Rico. It presents a variety of statistics and indicators on environmental issues, such as water, energy, air, soil, noise, natural systems, among others, that help describe the state and condition of the environment in Puerto Rico. It is carried out in compliance with Article 6 of Act No. 416-2004, Environmental Public Policy Act.

Objective:

Provide the Governor, the Legislative Assembly and the general public with an environmental picture that is as complete and real as possible describing the state and condition of the environment in Puerto Rico through the use of environmental indicators.

Main Variables

Indicators of environmental quality, air, water, soil, noise, sound, energy, among others.
