Description:

This report from the Puerto Rico Department of Health analyzes the flue situation by comparing them to warning and epidemic thresholds. Weekly cases and the cumulative number of deaths during the season are reported. The distribution of the types of flu and the most affected populations is presented.

Objective:

Monitor the behavior and disease burden of seasonal flue viruses in Puerto Rico to provide public health recommendations and mitigate the spread of the virus.

Total cases, hospitalizations, deaths, type of virus (A or B), health regions, age groups, sex, vaccination status, incidence rate and school outbreaks.
