In the last decades of the 20th century, Puerto Rico has become a cosmopolitan country where many people migrate from different countries and begin to reside on the island. Dominicans constitute the largest group of immigrants residing in Puerto Rico (Census 2000), making the population of interest to do this study out of need. This study seeks to identify the health service needs of Dominicans living in Puerto Rico, considering the sociodemographic characteristics of the population, health conditions, utilization, access and variables associated with the need for services.

Objective:
