Survey on vision problems (PR-BRFSS State Added Questions 2012)

Description:

Telephone survey for 2012 conducted using the Puerto Rico Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (PR-BRFSS) methodology. An adult (18 years or older) is randomly selected and interviewed to ask questions related to their vision. The indicators are as follows: vision problems, diagnosis of cataracts, operated cataracts, glaucoma, myopia or astigmatism.

Objective:

1) Estimate the percentage of adults living in Puerto Rico who have vision problems.

2) Estimate the percentage of adults living in Puerto Rico who have cataracts or glaucoma.

3) Estimate the percentage of adults living in Puerto Rico who have myopia or astigmatism
