It is collected thanks to the collaboration of organizations that support the homeless population and the government. The results are released through a PDF report that contains statistics on the place of the interview, municipality, gender, country of origin, age, children, victims of domestic violence, participation in the armed forces, educational outreach, sources of income, certain health conditions, etc.
1) Monitor the conditions of homeless people in Puerto Rico at a certain time (point in time survey)
2) Have the necessary instrument to receive federal funds to meet the needs of this population
