This document summarizes coverage estimates based on 2020 Census surveys for individuals and housing units in Puerto Rico. Estimates for individuals are broken down by tenure (landlord, tenant), age and sex. Estimates of housing units are classified according to occupancy and tenure. In addition, coverage estimates are provided for individuals and housing units in the San Juan-Bayamón Combined Statistical Area and in the rest of Puerto Rico. All of the comparative statements contained in this report have been statistically tested and, unless otherwise indicated, all comparisons are statistically significant at the 10 percent level. In the text, the margins of error are presented for estimates with a confidence level of 90 percent. The tables provide the standard errors. The Post-Census Survey (PES) calculated net coverage error rates using a statistical technique called “dual system estimation”. The PES also estimated the components of coverage for individuals and housing units in Puerto Rico, including correct enumerations, erroneous enumerations, omissions and census charges of entire people.
