It provides census statistics for Puerto Rico, which cover different topics, depending on the year in which it was conducted. Specifically, the 2010 Census includes statistics on the most basic characteristics of the population's demography (age, sex, marital status, Hispanic origin, race, family composition) and on a characteristic of housing (rented, owned with or without a mortgage). For censuses from previous years, it includes statistics on the socio-demographic and economic characteristics of the population and on housing. It provides very detailed data broken down by geographical levels, including neighborhoods and census tracks. Population and Housing Census data are available in the form of tables, profiles, narratives and databases. The Population and Housing Census is conducted to comply with Article III, Section 4 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
