The Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics has a temporary vacancy for:

ADMINISTRATIVE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Office and Administrative Support Group

(Annual Salary Range $41,200.00 - $58,000.00)

JOB PURPOSE

Administrative work consisting of the coordination, handling, management, and follow-up of tasks and administrative matters related to the administrative and operational processes of the Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics (PRIS).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Office Systems Administration, Secretarial Science, or Business Administration from a licensed and/or accredited educational institution.

• Three (3) years of experience in administrative and/or office management work, including the use of technological applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or other required applications or programs.

  *A combination of academic preparation and experience may be considered.

NATURE OF THE EXAMINATION

The examination will consist of an evaluation of academic preparation and work experience. Proficiency in Spanish and English, technical knowledge, and interpersonal communication skills will also be assessed through an interview.

ELIGIBILITY REGISTER

The established eligibility register will be cancelled once the position is filled.

TRANSITIONAL PERIOD

Until June 30, 2027, with the possibility of an extension.

a. Copy of your transcript showing your major and the degree conferred.  

b. Official employment certification(s) from the entity or entities where you have gained work or professional experience related to administration, indicating the nature of your duties and the exact start and end dates of the experience(s).  

3. You must also include the following documents (issued within the last 30 days):

a. No Debt Certification from the Department of Treasury
b. Tax Return Filing Certification from the Department of Treasury
c. Criminal Record Certificate from the Puerto Rico Police
d. ASUME Compliance Certification

4. Applications that do not meet all the requirements stated above or that are received after the application deadline will not be evaluated.

5. No documents will be accepted after the application deadline.
